Rose Petal Bellini

I was quickly flipping through the LCBO Food & Drink magazine last night and was in awe of how great everything looked. From food to cocktails, their Holiday 2012 magazine didn't miss a beat!

I came across this recipe and thought it was too delicious sounding not to share.

½ tsp (2 mL) rose syrup
1 tsp (5 mL) rosewater
½ oz (15 mL) Goldschläger
2 oz (60 mL) lychee juice, chilled
Sparkling wine, chilled
Red rose petals for garnish
1 Build the cocktail in a Champagne flute starting with the syrup then adding the rosewater, Goldschläger and lychee juice. Top up with sparkling wine. Garnish with half a rose petal.

How great do these look and sound?

Now imagine them in this adorable glass from Chapters.

What do you think? Can you picture yourself serving this at your next party?

Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? Thinking about making punch but aren't sure how to serve it? Try this!

How genious is this? You could fill it with a delicious punch or use it as a beer / wine chiller.

Definitely a way to add the WOW factor to your upcoming party!

St. Patrick's Day Irish Coffee

Are you a fan of specialty coffees? I most certainly am! We have one of those fancy cappucino machines (Michael has a cappucino or espresso daily - he's very Italian!) and sometimes I get Michael to make me a cappucino with Baileys.

Being that St.Patrick's day is only a few days away I thought I'd share this Irish Coffee recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups strong hot coffee
  • 4 ounces Irish whiskey, such as Knappogue Castle

Directions

  1. Whisk cream and sugar together in a medium bowl until stiff peaks form. Divide coffee and whiskey among 4 coffee cups, then top each with 1/2 cup whipped cream. Serve immediately.

Festive Cocktails

One of my favourite thing about hosting events is finding fun and delicous drink recipes for clients and myself.  I've stumbled across these festive drinks that I think would be perfect at any Holiday 2011 party.

I have a serious love for Candy Canes and think this cocktail would be a great delicious addition to your next cocktail party. For the receipe please click here.

How about this Cranberry Ginger Fizz. The cranberries and mint add a Christmas flare and the recipe sounds delicious too. For the recipe please click here.

What do you think, something you'll be tackling at your holiday party this year?

Hot Apple Cider

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was spent at a wedding show, an engagement party and Christmas Shopping!

I'm not a huge cider fan myself but I'm sure lots of you are, and this looks like such a neat way to serve it that I just had to share with all of you.

How adorable is this? Something you would try?

Enjoy the Party,

Nicole :)
