Here's what things currently look like... It's not pretty!
Slidding door to backyard. As you can see, there's still lots of construction going on around us.
This is the kitchen window at the front of our house. Yes, I need to take down the ugly builders house number too!
I'm not a big fan of shutters so that's out of the question.
I really like these Serenity Shades from Blinds To Go for the kitchen, great room, bedroom & closet.
Would you do the same for the slidding door? What do you think of these serenity shades? What do you have in your house?
Nothing on your windows since Nov 2011? That's not so bad - I've been living in my condo since April 2010, and I've still got nothing :(
ReplyDeleteWhat about some roman blinds?
I'm going to look into Roman Blinds. Thanks!
DeleteI made my own roman blinds for our kitchen and bathroom (although have since put up cafe curtains in the bathroom instead). I think roman blinds in a punchy fabric could work?
ReplyDeleteYou & Michelle think alike, thanks! I'm going to check out roman blinds.
DeleteThe hubs and I aren't huge fans of blinds in general. I think we're probably a little odd in that we decided to forgo the whole blinds thing altogether. We have drapes and only drapes, which I think is a completely legit option.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I really like the shades in the final photo. My parents have something similar in their sun room. They're easy to put up and down - you just push or pull and they stay where you put them.
I agree, it is legit. I think the only curtain idea for the great room window. Thanks!
