Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? Thinking about making punch but aren't sure how to serve it? Try this!

How genious is this? You could fill it with a delicious punch or use it as a beer / wine chiller.

Definitely a way to add the WOW factor to your upcoming party!

Weekend Recap

Usually I'm not very good at posting on Monday's but I made sure to find some time so I can fill you in on how the party went on Saturday.
Let's begin with Friday night where I prepped some of the food I was taking care of for Saturday. I was incharge of the salads, veggies, four pizzas and dessert. I spent about four hours Friday night cutting lettuce and strawberries, rolling out dough and making pizza sauce. Thankfully I had some great help from Michael and my lovely grandparents so it ended up being a fun night!

Fresh Ontario strawberries - They were to die for!

Saturday went off without a hitch! Thankfully the rain held out and it ended up being a beautiful day. It seemed like all 160 people had a great time, in and out of the pool and enjoying the food and drinks!

The flowers were from Metro Florist in Markham

All in all a great day!

Enjoy the Party,

Nicole :)

Something New to Try

Happy Friday!

I've decided that every Friday I'm going to post a recipe I love or a new recipe I've stumbled upon.  Since it's sunny and warm weather should be right around the corner, the recipe I'm posting today is the Berry Blast cocktail from the Women's Health Mag post I mentioned earlier this week.

Pour 1 1/2oz berry acai vodka over ice
Add 1oz selter and your choice of fresh berries (I'd use raspberries and black berries)
Mix all ingredients... and magic, you have a delicious summery cocktail! I'd serve this cocktail in a martini glass or pretty rocks glass, your choice.  This would be a great addition to a ladies night, wedding shower or backyard bbq. Let me know if you try it, I'd love to hear some feedback.

Have a great weekend, hopefully the weather warms up a bit.

Enjoy the party,

Nicole :)
