Gold Glitter & Parties

Do you love gold as much as I do? There are few instances where I see gold and don't like it. It's such a fun addition to parties and can really girl it up!

My best friends bridal shower was pink and gold themed and it was amazing to say the least. You can check it out here.

If you don't believe me that gold is a great addition to a party check out these examples.

Are you sold, will you be using gold at your next girly party? If I still love gold this much in a few years and if Baby P is a girl I want to do her big-girl room in gold and pink.

Tell me, what is your go to girly party addition?

Halloween Party Idea

Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? Thinking about making punch but aren't sure how to serve it? Try this!

How genious is this? You could fill it with a delicious punch or use it as a beer / wine chiller.

Definitely a way to add the WOW factor to your upcoming party!

Summer Party Ideas

It's FRIDAY! I don't know about you but I can't get enough of long weekends in the summer. Three whole days to do whatever you want is glorious to me.

We're having a summer party on Saturday with some friends. Basically anyone who isn't lucky enough to be away at a cottage is coming.

Here are some party ideas I'm hoping to incorporate into our night.

I love adding candy to any party. Who doesn't love some sugar?!

How adorable is this. I worked an event on the weekend and they did this.

I love this idea for the dips rather then using bowls.

I want to make a punch or sangria. If anyone has a good recipe please share it!

There you have it, a few things I'll be adding to our summer party.

What are you doing this weekend? Any fun party tricks you'd like to share?

Have a safe & fun long weekend!

DIY Chalkboard Wine Glass

We're having a party this weekend so I've been searching Pinterest for some fun, easy party tricks that will add a little flare to the night.

I am a wine drinker. I don't fancy beer or mixed drinks, just a nice glass of wine, so when I saw them I immediately loved it. I'm thinking about going to buy an affordable set of wine glasses and doing this.

Tell me, are you a wine drinker? Would you do this?

Be safe when it comes to the SUN!

Everyone these days needs to be careful when in the sun. I myself, at 25 have noticed sun spots and it freaks me out! Here are some great sun blocks recommened by The Kit Magazine to help protect your body.

1) Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Daily Face Sunscreen SPF 60.
2) Clarins UV Plus SPF 40.
3) Nivea Sun SPF 30 Lip Balm.

Stay safe from the sun everyone!

Enjoy the Party,

Nicole

Recipe Friday... Mexican Themed

Since Cinco De Mayo was yesterday I thought I'd highlight some yummy mexican food. I was in Mexico in January and ate guacamole on EVERYTHING so I'm going to feature a great guacamole recipe today!

Here's the recipe. It's actually a weight watchers recipe which I think is great!

Ingredients:
- 1 medium avocado, ripe, peeled and pitted
- 1 15-oz. can young peas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatillos
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onions
- 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup Labane Yogurt Cheese* or fat-free plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 4 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
*Labane Cheese can be found at most Kosher Grocery Stores
Directions:
Put peas in a medium bowl and mash with a fork until almost smooth. Add in avocado and mash that into the peas until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Cover surface with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 1 day. Makes 6 servings.
Serving size is 1/3 cup.

Enjoy the Party,

Nicole :)
