Little Girl Nursery

I have obviously been crazy excited for the arrival of Baby P since August but I've reached the part of my pregnancy where I'm just overjoyed and cannot wait!

We've decided not to find out what we're having. I love the idea of not knowing and keeping everyone, including us, guessing. I've thought since we found out I was pregnant that Baby P is a girl but who knows.

We I have decided that the nursery is going to be finished pre-arrival gender neutral and we'll add a few gender specific pieces once our baby is here.

Since I think Baby P is a girl I'll share my baby girl nursery ideas first.

The walls are going to be painted like this no matter what - boy or girl. I just adore stripes and love this for the nursery.

I'm not sure of the original source for this image, I found it on Pinterest. I really like how simple yet feminine this lighting is. I'm a bit nervous to hang it over the crib, I think I would do it in the center of the room.

How Do You Decorate Your Walls?

I am just giddy with excitment because Michael and I get our house in three and a half weeks. It seems like just yesterday we were at the Decor Centre picking everything from wall colour to granite and now it's finally here.

Michael and I want to make sure our walls have some serious loving. How do you decorate your walls? What type of art have you hung? We're on a tight budget art wise so we're looking for an inexpensive way to add some art love to our house.

Halloween Home Decor

Is everyone ready for Halloween? I personally am not a big Halloween person, I don't really care for the dressing up aspect of it. That aside, if I was to host a Halloween party I would be all over these decor ideas.

Are you the type of person to decorate your house for various holidays throughout the year? I think I will be, once we get our house, in 30 DAYS!!

Bathroom Lovin'

On Sunday Michael and I ventured out to finish our wedding registry. While it was all fun and good I was super indecisive it was embarrassing. I kept on asking Michael to scan something and then delete, scan delete scan delete - it was a weird game.

My big indecisiveness came when picking our bathroom accessories. I can't figure out what to do or what I want them to look like. I'm having an extra hard time because all 3 of our bathrooms are currently nails and wood which makes it hard to envision.

Design Inspiration

I wish I could spend everyday finding images and ideas that inspires me for the decor of our new house. Unfortunately I need to spend everyday working to pay for the new house! I was recently browsing the May/June 2011 issue of Lonny Magazine and came across these great inspirational pictures.

Entrance Ways

House Excitment!

Michael and I JUST recently bought our first home and we couldn't be more excited. That said, all I think about now is how I want it to look. It's brand new house, they haven't dug a hole yet, so we have the luxury of picking everything!

Making a house a home!

With the wedding less than a year away there is a lot of planning and house decorating on my mind...all the time! A big deal to me is not living in house but making it a home. I want our home to resemble us, our tastes and not just a few pieces of furniture.
