Decorating Your Walls

Art is something I know very little about and don't really think I have a certain style or preference for. I see something I like, I buy it want it!

Art on our walls isn't something we've really tackled yet but something I certainly want to tackle in the future.

I came across these and could totally picture them in our house.

Rain Tree

Cotton Picking

Invincible

Do you have a certain art style? Which of these are you most drawn to?

  1. Oh man, I love that 2nd one, but then I clicked on the link it costs $6000! YIKES! I tend to like kind of wacky art, but I really want to get some abstract painted pieces sometime soon. Happy Monday!

    1. I love the 2nd one too! Yes, the prices are a bit much but they're from Anthro and I fell in love :)

  2. Love the first one! I think a good, authentic piece of art is totally worth the money.

  4. I like all of them, but if I HAD to choose, #1 would probably win. I was a wee bit shocked at the prices though - a little too rich for my pocketbook :(

  5. DIY, you can totally do it!! Plus its fun and so rewarding!
I did one for my living room which you can see here http://www.raianaschwenker.com/painting-abstract-art/ and since then have been painting a lot at night because it is honestly just so enjoyable.
    I love #2.

  6. I love that first green one! The pink one is amazing too, but, well, pink. I haven't convinced the husband - or myself, for that matter - that pink is always a good thing.

This is totally DIY-able. It's a good thing I'm not ashamed of my lack of originality when it comes to artistic endeavours!

    1. I agree with you on the pink. I absolutely adore it but don't know where it would go because it's so pink!

  7. Great pieces! I LOVE abstract art and have a problem of too many paintings, now. I''m running out of walls because I like to give each piece some "breathing room".
